Healthcare Product Design Project 3 : Contactless Sensor for Urinination Desire Detections

SmartyPants, is a urine desire detection system targeted at patients with dementia diagnosed with functional incontinence with the aim of reducing caretaker workload and reserving patient dignity. SmartyPants uses bioimpedance measurements to accurately detect the change in volume of the urine in the patient’s bladder, and automatically alerts their caregivers through a web-based app interface.SmartyPants, is a urine desire detection system targeted at patients with dementia diagnosed with functional incontinence with the aim of reducing caretaker workload and reserving patient dignity.
